Admission Process for 9th Grade

Students interested in applying for 9th grade admission are required to take the Diocese of Wilmington High School Placement Test (HSPT) in December of their 8th grade year.  

Please take the test at St. Elizabeth High School on one of the following days:

Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 8:30 am.

Sunday, December 3, 2017 at 12 noon.

Registration for this year’s HSPT will take place online, through Scholastic Testing Services. The HSPT registration website is: 

Additional detailed information regarding registration instructions, testing dates, testing locations, payment and answers to frequently asked questions are provided at the site.  Online registration for the HSPT opens September 2017 and closes just before the test on December 2017.

After registering for the HSPT, students that apply to the St. Elizabeth High School will receive an application packet that details the next steps in the admission process.  All applicants will be asked to complete an application and applicant questionnaire. Specific directions for testing day procedures will be included for those students taking the HSPT at St. Elizabeth High School. 

A completed online test registration form permits St. Elizabeth High School to formally request student records and a recommendation from the applicant's current elementary/middle school.  No additional letters of recommendation are required. 

It is the responsibility of the St Elizabeth High School Admissions Board to review each applicant's report cards, standardized test scores, school recommendation, and HSPT score for admission and scholarship consideration.

Admission decisions for the Class of 2022 at St. Elizabeth High School will be mailed on Friday, January 12, 2018.
