Director of School Counseling Services

Reports To: Upper School Principal / Administration 

The preferred candidate should possess:

  • Master's degree in school counseling or its equivalent in the counseling field
  • A commitment to the values of the Catholic Faith
  • Outgoing personality
  • Excellent communications skills: both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with college and career readiness technology platform that is utilized by the entire school community; e.g., Naviance
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with an emphasis on meeting established deadlines
  • Commitment to high academic and interpersonal standards
  • Demonstrated success as a collaborative member of a team
  • Demonstrated knowledge of administration and analysis of standardized testing; e.g, SAT, PSAT, AP
  • Knowledge of NCAA compliance
  • Familiarity with current issues in college advisement
  • Familiarity with current trends in career exploration

Essential Duties & Job Responsibilities:

  • Works cooperatively and in collaboration with parents, staff and administration to provide parents and families with information and support
  • Counsels individually and in groups
  • Conducts classroom guidance classes cbased on the National School Counseling Standards and curriculum
  • Consults and collaborates with families, staff, community agencies and other school services
  • Intervenes in crisis situations and assists in developing options for solution
  • Maintains appropriate records for all conceling services
  • Assist students with academic, emotional, social or behavioral problems

 

Social Studies Teacher for AP US Government and Politics and World History

Reports To:  Department Chair and Academic Dean

The preferred candidate should be a dynamic, committed educator who possesses a BA or MA degree in Social Studies, has a teaching certificate and previous high school teaching experience.  In addition, applicant should have familiarity with iPad technologies for instruction and student learning and a desire and commitment to participate in and strengthen the Catholic mission of the school.

 

Head Boys Lacrosse Coach - Seasonal Position

Reports To: Athletic Director / High School Principal

Job Goal:

To provide knowledge, motivation and leadership in an interscholastic sport in which students can exel to their full potential while competing in an atmosphere that adds to their total education including their physical well-being, moral character, and social and mental development.

Essential Duties & Performance Responsibilities:

The head coach is expected to provide the necessary leadership to plan, organize, and accept responsibilty for a comprehensive lacrosse program.  The head coach must carry out the objectives of the total school mission and athletic program to include the elements of fairplay and teamwork, a sense of confidence, and self-discipline through the development and extension of various skills as provided by interscholastic competition.

Minimum Quallifications:

The candidate should possess a demonstrated ability to manage a boys lacrosse program through previous experience as a coach or player.  The candidate should have experience working in a high school setting.

 

Head Boys & Girls Cross Country Coach - Seasonal Position

Reports To: Athletic Director / High School Principal

Head Boys & Girls Track & Field Coach - Seasonal Position

The head coach is expected to provide the necessary leadership to lead the student athletes in various areas of the track & field program.  The head coach will assist in carrying out the objectives of the total school mission and athletic program to include the elements of fairplay and teamwork, a sense of confidence, and self-discipline though the development and extension of various skills as provided by interscholastic competition.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate should possess a demonstrated ability to coaching various elements of track & field program through previous caoching experience.  It is preferred that the candidates have experience working in a high school setting.

 

Marketing and Communications Coordinator - Full Time

Reports To:  Administration / Advancement Office

Job Goal:

The prefered candidate will be responsible for handling all aspects of the school's electronic and printed communications as well as the development and implementation of marketing strategies.  This will include but not be limited to the following:

Job Priorities:

  • Create a school publication for St. Elizabeth alumni, parents and friends.  Manage logistics of production as well as develop content and targeted messaging to various stakeholder groups
  • Grow the St. Elizabeth presence on social media to meet the needs of the school's varied constituents (i.e. Admissions, Development, Alumni Relations, etc.)
  • Lead an effort to consolidate and standardize content produced by various school departments, assisting in development and curating the creative process.


Responsibilities
:

Specific responsibilities to advance these priorities will include the following:

  • Manage content for the school's website
  • Maintain, moderate and manage the school's presence on various social media outlets
  • Design advertisements in print and electronic formats for the admissions and advancement offices
  • Work closely with admissions, advancement and the school administration to refine and improve the school marketing plan
  • Produce and distribute regularly scheduled newsletters to parents and alumni and assist in the distribution of press releases
  • Oversee media relations, working with school administration and faculty to assure timely distribution of press releases
  • Manage school's relationship with outside vendors, photographers, graphic designers and printers
  • Maintain common editorial and graphic standards across school publications for branding reputation
  • Support the general priorities of fund development, alumni relations, admissions and school events as necessary
  • Assist in planning and execution of events such as alumni weekend, Choose St. E Night, admissions open house and the annual auction fundraiser
  • Build relationships with alumni and student families, embrace the Benedictine value of hospitality


Qualifications
:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Excellent writing and editorial skills, as well as an eye for publication design
  • Skilled in marketing and communication strategies utilizing social media
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate widely across the school community
  • Two years of experience in marketing and/or communications
  • The technical skills to support the above responsibilities, knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and other multimedia design software

 

Mathematics Teacher: Algebra and Geometry

Reports To: Department Chair and Academic Dean

Job Goal:

The preferred candidate should be a dynamic, comitted educator who possesses a BA or MA degree in Math, has a teaching certification and previous high school teaching experience and the ability to teach advanced mathematics classes.  In addition, applicant should have familiarity with iPad technologies for instruction and student learning and a desire and commitment to participate in and strengthen the Catholic mission of the school.

Head Cheerleading Coach

Reorts To:  Athletic Director / Upper School Principal

Job Goal

To provide knowledge, motivation and leadership in support of interscholastic sports in which students can excel to their full potential while competing in and enjoying an atmosphere that adds to their total education including their physical well-being, moral character, and social and mental development.

Essential Duties & Performance Responsibilities:

The head coach is expected to provide the necessary leadership to plan, organize, and accept responsibilty for a comprehensive cheerleading program.  The head coach must carry out the objectives of the total school mission and athletic programs to include the elements of fairness and teamwork, a sense of confidence, and self-discipline through the development and extension of various skills as provided by this athletic interaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate should possess a demonstrated ability to manage a cheerleading program through previous experience as a coach or cheerleader.  The candidate should have experience working in a high school setting.
