"My short time at St. E has already been amazingly full of opportunity. I’ve been able to try new things and to become involved in a wide variety of activities that have helped me grow academically, athletically, and spiritually. As a Viking, I have been an altar server for St. Elizabeth Church and have participated not only in the celebration of Sunday Masses, but in weddings, funerals and other Church affairs. I’ve also worked with the Junior Youth Group at the grade school. Other opportunities to grow at St. E have included helping out with school activities like Open House. Working with the Church, the high school and the grade school have been enriching experiences for me. I guess it’s true that when we give, we also receive.
St. E has also given me the opportunity to expand on my academic capabilities and become an honor student. The one-to-one iPad environment here really accelerates the learning process and makes it easier to become a better student.
When it comes to athletics, St. E has strong programs in all of the major high school sports. Here I found an open door to playing football with a great team and a great coach… something I had wanted to do for a while. Opportunities to excel athletically didn’t stop with football, however, I also played JV basketball – and have plans to come back to my favorite sport, soccer, in the coming year. On top of everything else, last year I recorded the statistics for every St. E varsity basketball game.
One of the most important opportunities at St. E for me has been on the personal side. Here you get to meet lots of exceptional people who share their talents and abilities and become great friends in the process. It’s an atmosphere that lifts you up to do more than you ever thought you could. St. E has been and will be the experience of a lifetime for me."
