"When I was choosing a high school, I looked at a variety of key factors. In researching other schools, I found that none of them made me feel at home the way St. Elizabeth does. It’s an environment that both nurtures and challenges. Not only am I challenged to excel academically, but in other parts of my life as well… and it is through these challenges that I have been encouraged to grow as a person and come out of my shell. I’ve been inspired to become involved in many activities I never thought I would be a part of – and I am so glad for it! I have had experiences here that will influence me for the rest of my life.
Through these activities, I have gotten to know the people and the community of St. Elizabeth. I love being in a community where everyone knows each other and can be themselves. I feel like I have really found my niche at St. E. However, this community doesn’t just exist here…it extends well beyond the school walls. Alumni – and even people who just live near the school – are always present at sporting events and other St. E activities. It has touched me how our alumni seem to always come back to visit, or to teach; and there’s a strong group that continues the tradition by sending their own kids to school here. As a child of alumni parents, I have always felt at home at St. E… although it is a community that accepts everyone, no matter who you are or where you’re from.
From the start, my St. E experience has given me the chance to grow academically, to expand my athletic abilities and to better understand my value to a community. I have already learned and done so much here – I can’t wait to explore the opportunities ahead of me in my career at St. Elizabeth."
