Most St. Elizabeth High School families drive their students to and from school; or the students drive to school; or the parents car pool. Carpool arrangements are independently made by parents. Families needing assistance with possbile car pool arrangements are advised to call 302-656-3369 (ext. 3040). It is important that families contact the Main Office before August 10th.
Historically, there has been a limited demand for private student busing services in large part due to the cost. Students are permitted on campus in the morning early before classes and students can remain on campus after school for a four hour monitored study hall from 2:00 - 6:00pm.
St. Elizabeth High School is preparing alternative transportation options for the upcoming school year for families in need of private transportation. The cost for private transportation will be based upon the number of families participating. St. Elizabeth High School will be subsidizing part of the cost. Van transportation from the Newark/Bear area will be offered for the 2016 - 2017 school year. Students will meet at Christ the Teacher Catholic School and be driven to St. Elizabeth High School by a licensed driver. For additional information click here.
The State of Delaware DART bus system (http://www.dartfirststate.com/) is used by a few of our students and is frequently overlooked by some who could easily make use of it. DART has bus stops both in front of scool and at the corner of Broom and Cedar streets.
Students who live in Pennsylvania can use Pennsylvania school bus transportation to St. Elizabeth. Currently, Kennett Consolidated, Penn-Delco, Garnet Valley, and Chichester School Districts have provided transportation to St. Elizabeth. Our advice to families is to contact your local public school district for specific regulations, even if it is a school district not listed above.
